php-http-request2 software package provides Provides an easy way to perform HTTP requests, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install php-http-request2
php-http-request2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the php-http-request2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep php-http-request2 *
You will get with php-http-request2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
